We carried out a full flooring and wall cladding installation at The Plough, a busy pub located in Hampshire, transforming its kitchen and bar areas to meet strict hygiene and safety standards.
— Installed Altro Stronghold™ safety vinyl flooring, ideal for wet and greasy environments, offering slip resistance and durability.
— Fitted Altro Whiterock™ hygienic wall cladding to ensure a seamless, easy-to-clean finish suitable for food prep areas.
— Heavy oil and grease contamination was discovered under the cookers and beneath the existing vinyl. We tackled this by mechanical abrasion, followed by a full degrease and re-level of the surface to ensure proper adhesion and hygiene.
— A wooden inspection hatch located within the kitchen floor required special attention. We reinforced the lid-to-base connection, applied mesh to bridge wood-to-concrete joints, and used fibre-reinforced latex screed to create a smooth, stable base.
This was a complex but successful 7-day turnaround, leaving the pub with a safe, clean, and durable surface built to last.
